AGEP Phase 4 Compressor Station Project for Tatweer Petroleum

Project Background:

As part of Tatweer Petroleum’s field development plan for the Awali Oil Field in Bahrain, a new drilling programme with approximately 800 new wells was introduced. To process the increased production, new light oil facilities like 15 new well manifolds were installed. Each well manifold will be capable of processing an oil flow rate of 300 bbl/day, a produced water flow rate of 20,000bbl/day and an associated gas flow rate of 20 MMSCFD. The EPC contractor for this project was Enerflex.

Project Scope & Highlights:

MCSC’s scope of work includes civil works, erection, assembly and alignment of compressors, coolers and other equipment, structural works, piping works, electrical and instrumentation works including procurement, pre commissioning and commissioning assistance.

  • Project Duration: 6 months (Oct. 2014 to May 2015).
  • Total Man Hours: 418,224 Man Hours without LTI.
  • Heavy Concrete Foundations: 2,944 Sq. M.
  • Piping: 26,404 Inch Dia.
  • Heavy Equipment Erection: 24 Compressors, 24 Coolers and 39 other equipment’s and vessels installed.
  • Structural steel Installation : 50 Ton.
  • Electrical and Instrumentation Works : Procurement of E&I Materials, Cable Laying, Instrument Installation, Glanding and Termination, Earth Drilling Works, Calibration of Instruments, Loop Checking Etc.
